Transportation: Wheeler has no plan

How will city streets accommodate 6,000 additional shipyard workers and 20,000 additional residents? How do we fix Gorst? Can we get more people onto buses, scooters and bikes to reduce traffic congestion? Can we make our school zones safe for kids?

The mayor has no answers to these questions.

Wheeler’s dangerous streets

Mr. Wheeler’s first year in office saw just 12 serious/fatal road crashes, making it one of the safest streets in the Puget Sound region, per capita. On his watch, serous injury and fatal crashes have increase by 58%, making us one of the least safe cities for traffic deaths in the state.
